 Society for Biomolecular Sciences Announces Keynote Speakers for First Annual SBS China Conference

In preparation for the First Annual SBS China Conference Innovation in Drug Discovery: Science & Technology, December 7– 9, 2010 in Shanghai, China, the Society for Biomolecular Sciences (SBS) has announced the line-up of keynote speakers.
“The speaker list is outstanding, with many pharmaceutical industry experts, a number of past SBS presidents, and a few local R&D leaders,” said Conference Committee Chair, Zhong Zhong, Ph.D.
On Wednesday, December 8, Jeff W. Paslay, Ph.D., Pfizer, USA will present SBS and 20 Years of Drug Discovery, and Christopher A. Lipinski, Ph.D., Melior Discovery, USA, will present Drug Discovery and Medicinal Chemistry: Rules and Filters and Their Sensible Use.
On Thursday, December 9, Melvin Reichman, Ph.D., Lankenau Institute for Medical Research, USA, will present Revolution and Harmony for Pharmaceutical R & D in Academia and Pharma, and Kiaxian Chen, Ph.D., Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, China, will present Drug Discovery in China.
“The First Annual SBS China Conference could not come at a better time since China is emerging as an important player in a new era of pharmaceutical research and development,” said China Conference keynote speaker Melvin Reichman, Ph.D.
“The best way to build strong bridges between drug discovery scientists in the West with those in the East is for SBS to bring us together for this premier conference in Shanghai.”
